Travelling light can save you from some pricey suitcase fees, but present another problem. How do you fit all your liquid essentials into one little bag!? I'm not heading off on holiday until December, but i've started to pick things up here and there already. With all the summer holiday travel minis popping up at the minute, who could resist?
Since i've began stashing things away, i've noticed something. There are a lot of products to fit into that bag if you plan on just taking a carry-on. (As I was hoping to...) Not just your toiletries but your liquid make up too? Nightmare. However, with a few little switches, you can save space in that bag for the ultimate essentials, and not have to worry about leaving anything behind.
So I present to you;
How to hack your travel kit and beat the TSA restrictions with these 'No Liquid' toiletries!
Head to Lush, as a one stop shop, for all your no liquid basics. Choose from a wide range of shampoo and conditioner bars, soaps and even solid toothpaste tabs! If you're heading off for a sunny beach break, they also have powder or solid sunscreen.
Make-Up
Switch your primer for Benefit's 'Stay Flawless' 15hr Primer Stick. This may bulk up your make up bag a little, but can save a nice little space in the liquid bag for something else.
Can you be without your liquid eyeliner? Pack an Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil. If you can't commit to just one shade, pick up one of the double ended pencils. Two colours taking up the space of one in your make up bag.
Trade lip gloss for sheer lip pencils like Laqa & Co's Lip Lubes. Apply once for a little colour or add layers of buildable colour for a more intense look that takes you from day to night. You can always take a selection of lipsticks for evening.
Can you forego the cleansing routine for a week? Take a travel pack of make up remover wipes! As they are only moistened they don't need to go in with your liquids. Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes are suitable for sensitive skin and come in two pack sizes. The 10 pack will be perfect for a week away.
Illamasqua's cream foundation is only £10.00 in the sale... What is not to love about a great foundation in compact form that won't spill, can be slipped in a bag and carried about and better yet... Doesn't go in the liquid bag? I can not think of a single thing. I already have mine!
Finally, pick up a multi-tasker like Rosebud Perfume Co.'s Rosebud Salve. You can use on lips, cheeks, nails, brows and for soothing irritated skin.
With all these, I can only think of four small things for my liquid bag. Result!
Now how much space will that leave in the liquid bag for everything else!
What are your must have toiletries.
