[Let's Watch] Friends

September feels nostalgic to me. So what better thing to sit back and watch this month than an oldie but goodie that is 20 years old today? Yup, it's a very special anniversary that I think is going to have most of us sat in front of the TV. So without further adieu,

Let's Watch

Hasn't everyone watched Friends? It's nearly as old as me!
The Plot;
Friends is about six people; roommates, friends and siblings living in Manhattan, New York. The first episode sees Rachel reunite with her high school friend Monica and her brother Ross, and joins their friends Chandler, Joey and Pheobe. The show follows the six through their careers, romances, holidays and a bunch of wacky and funny adventures and mishaps spanning ten seasons.

The Characters;
The main cast are supported by recurring characters such as parents, co-workers, the local barista Gunther, and Chandler's ex Janice. Now only that but there's a huge host of big name guest stars like Brad Pit, Bruce Willis and Reece Witherspoon. I love seeing guest stars from my other favourite shows like Paget Brewster from Criminal Minds and T.J Thyne from Bones.

The Design;
Re-watching Friends after all these years is like a very fun trip down memory lane and a showcase of 90's fashion. 'The Rachel' is probably the most iconic haircut, ever. Some of the clothes and fashions in the early episodes make me giggle, but later episodes have some seriously classic fashion and with some great outfit ideas to steal.

If anyone wishes they could go that cool coffee shop, the Central Perk set was recreated this month as a pop-up coffee shop in central New York, and there is also one in Beijing! If that's a little too far any of us U.K based gals fancying a slice of Friends life. Head on down to Liverpool or Chester 'Central Perks'! Definitely on my list of places to visit.

The Soundtrack;
The Rembrandts "I'll be there for you" playing in the opening credits is one of most memorable TV themes ever, but the good tunes don't stop there. Scattered throughout episodes are awesome blast from the past tracks.

To Conclude;

In my home, today is for watching the nations top 20 episodes on Comedy Central. Like we needed an excuse to binge watch Friends all day and ignore anything else that needed doing. :P
