Waaaay back in February, my travel buddy and I took advantage of London Midlands £15 'Great Escape' offer and hopped on a train to Liverpool. Neither of us have ever been to the city before, and our primary goal was the stadium tour of Anfield. I'm not exactly a football fan, but I've been dragged around a few stadium tours in my time (the joys of having football mad big brothers,) and figured it would be pretty interesting to add another to my list. While we had the whole day there, we wanted to cram in a few more sights

[Top 5] Spring/Summer '15 Trends
How is everyone enjoying the four day week-end and all the chocolate? I work weekends so I'm really looking forward to my day off tomorrow!
The weather has been pretty miserable here the last few weeks but today actually looked rather nice. The sun up in the clear blue sky and a chilly breeze. Perfect for an early spring day, don't you think? This change in the weather had me thinking... It is definitely time to do a little jazzing up of my wardrobe and bring in some new spring summer essentials. So today I thought i'd share with you my top 5 Spring trends!
Are you ready?
5|Bunnies!
More of an Easter trend this one, but in the run up to Easter, bunnies get put on everything! As a bunny owner, I do enjoy a good bunny print anything. Mum has a really cute bunny print cardigan that I am dying to get my paws on and Primark have really sweet Thumper print socks at the minute too! I may or may not have already picked up a pair. Ok, I totally have. Plus, how cute is this bunny gif!?
4|Nautical
The classic spring trends always seem to be floral or nautical. I've never really been one for florals, or really any spring/summer trend. But i'm really feeling the anchors and stripes at the minute, and red is always a good colour. I have a feeling i'll get more excited for this one after my next trip to Disney, as we're staying at the nautical themed resort. Yay!
3|Nineties
A lot of great things happened in the 90's. It was all GIRL POWER and boybands, Rachel Green and Cher Wolowitz were fashion icons and we had awesome shows like Saved by the Bell, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and The Powerpuff Girls. Recently i've been seeing good old 90's fashions popping up, like the old tattoo choker necklace thingies. I absolutely loved them when I was younger. I definitely fell victim to the phase of never going anywhere without it. I for one, am totally OK with these things making a comeback! Now, who do I speak too about bringing back the Spice Girls, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch?
2|Holographic
The whole 'future holographic' trend was featured just after new year in the ASOS magazine, and I really loved quite a few of the items, and the styling. I picked up a really cute holo purse from Asos and was hoping to get the matching passport cover and card holder but the latter has sold out. :( Although while hunting for a nice pic to represent the holo trend, I stumbled across this amazing OPI nail polish that i'm about to go hunting for...
1|Mint Green
Mint green is my IT colour for the season. I've seen it in quite a few shops recently which means I can easily get my fix of this lovely colour, and it's pretty much perfect for the season. The best mint things I've bought so far are this gorgeous pair of patent ballet flats from New Look and adorable mint Mickey brooch from Poison of Choice.
So there we have it, my favourite spring/summer trends. I'd love to know what trends you are loving at the moment and what you like to wear through the sunnier seasons! Let me know!
Happy Easter!

Poison of Choice Vintage Inspired Confetti Lucite Jewellery.
A few days ago a little parcel arrived on my doorstep that I was seriously excited for, so I thought it would be nice to share my love, and my goodies with you!
I'm a big fan of supporting small businesses, be it a little independent shop on the high street or handmade online store operating only on Etsy. I'm also a big fan of confetti lucite retro inspired jewellery and trinkets, so when I stumbled upon Poison of Choice, I wanted to buy pretty much everything. Narrowing own my choices did take quite a while, but I got there in the end.
Another thing I love about Etsy is the ability to contact sellers and request custom items or listings. So when these items had been sold before I placed my order, so I messaged the shop owner asking if I could have those items and a few hours later (time differences are a pain, right?) I had my own listing for everything I wanted. Yay! Let's have a look...
1| Mouse head brooch with black and silver starbursts. [$13/£8.84]
The first thing I chose was the Mickey inspired mouse head brooch. I hadn't seen one this colour in the shop, but had seen some other pieces so asked if I could have it like this and here it is! The colour is an exact match to what I was expecting and it's much more vibrant than I was able to catch on camera. I thought the retro style starburst glitters would be a nice touch, and black and silver felt like the best choice with the mint green. Overall, I love the effect of this one.
2| Silver heart with Horns brooch. [$20/£13.56]
I thought the way this Maleficent inspired brooch was set against a silver heart was both adorable and interesting. My camera didn't pick it up but the horns twinkle with purple glitter when the light hits them. I was quite surprised by how big this one is. It takes up most of my palm so is definitely a statement brooch. I have a purple jumper that this looks great with, so I can't wait to wear it. I actually watched Sleeping Beauty the other day for the first time in many years, but I still haven't seen the Maleficent movie yet. Having this arrive in my paws makes me want to see it even more.
3| Kiss the Girl brooch set. [$22/£14.92]
This The Little Mermaid inspired cameo silhouette set is made up of two, quite big brooches that can be worn together or separately. I love that this particular Ariel silhouette is the one from the Kiss the Girl scene, as my favourite Ariel outfit is the blue dress. (Next to the the diy rope dress of course...) Due to the size, i'll probably wear Ariel on her own the most, but it's nice to have the option to switch it up with Prince Eric.
4| Neverland mini brooch set. [$16/£10.85]
These adorable Wendy and Peter Pan inspired cameo silhouettes are much smaller than the Kiss the Girl set, which makes them perfect for adding a subtle pop of magic to an outfit, or wearing together. Slipping a little chain on to them would make them a great pair of collar clips or perfect to sit either side of a cardigan.
5| Mini Mermaid Brooch.
I don't know how much this was, as I actually didn't order this one. It was a gift for purchasing from the shop, and a really sweet one at that. I think the lilacy purple glitter will go lovely with the mint mouse head, to inject a little 'under the sea' Ariel vibe into an outfit.
Everything was handmade for me after I placed my order, and considering that lots of other custom listings were created around the same time I was prepared to wait quite a while for the brooches to arrive. From placing the order to them arriving, it was a little under three weeks. Average post times from the US to the UK can be any where from 7 to 14 days, so I was expecting it to take at least that long anyway! This time shipping took a speedy 4 days! I've no doubt in stock items will arrive with you pretty speedily.
So all in all, i'm really pleased with my items, the communication i've had with the friendly store owner and the time frame for everything to be made, sent and to make it across the pond. I've already got my eyes on a few more things, especially the beautiful bunny brooches and flamingo jewellery!
I hope this post has made you all want to have a peek at the Poison of Choice shop! Let me know if you decide to get any goodies! I'd love to see what you choose!

Victoria's Secret
I love getting to know new brands, and one i've had the pleasure to get up close and personal with recently is the iconic Victoria's Secret. The first time I got to see some of their products was at the airport on the way to Paris and I feel in love with of their perfumes. Late last year, a pretty big VS store opened in the Bullring shopping center, Birmingham. That place is always worth a visit, hosting a bunch of my favourite shops under one roof. So once I had the chance to get over there for a visit, off I went!
I did find the sizing to be a little crazy. Some things in my size were way too small... Some were even a little too big. But upstairs in the PINK range, I found a perfect fit that's a size smaller than I usually wear, when others were nowhere near big enough. It's definitely worth getting a fitting and trying a bunch of different styles on.
So I ended up with the Leopard Lace push up bra, in a 'Seafoam'/mint colour. It's got quite a good chunk of padding in it, way more than i'd normally like, but blimmin'eck does it do the trick. The patterned band is a really nice touch, but it does make it a little snug at first. After a bit of wear it really does begin to mould to you though so don't be put off if it feels a little snug!
My experience of Victoria's Secret bras so far is that they are a very nice quality, lovely and soft, and comfy.
Also from the PINK range, I nabbed some of the 5 for £20 pants. Mainly because I wanted the mint green shorts with the band to match the bra i'd just chosen. But I picked out a bunch of different styles to try, including seamless. I usually find seamless to feel a bit scratchy, but these are very soft.
Again, the sizing is a little weird. The mediums come up very small, they fit my size 8-10 friend perfectly... But after a chat with one of the lovely assistants, I went ahead and got larges and they fit my big butt just fine. Again, they are very soft, and very comfortable. Plus the range of styles and colours is huge, and the mix and match is fun. Check out these amusing pants I picked up, just in time for Valentines! ;)
I've been dying to nab some things from the fragrance section as they have many different scents that smell amazing, but I know i've got some for my birthday. So i've been told i'm not allowed! But I definitely think Victoria's Secret is worth a visit, even if it's just to smell the perfumes and body sprays!

[Review] Ript Apparel
Mr Postman bought me a new addition to my Ript t-shirt collection today, so I thought i'd do a review post on the quality of their products, designs and share my collection with you!
For those of you who don't know about Ript Apparel, and other sites like Teefury and Qwertee, they are companies that offer different fandom and pop culture inspired designs on t-shirts every day for around $10. So far i've only bought from Ript, as I know I like the fit and quality of the t-shirts they print on.
So this is my collection of 8 Ript Apparel shirts! Please excuse the photo quality, the lighting in my room isn't very good at the moment.
