[Review] Sephora Favourites : Give Me More Lip

When my latest Sephora order arrived I was a bit more excited than normal, as this one contained not one but two awesome sets of lip products for me to play with. One of which is the amaaazing Sephora Give Me More Lip sampler set. I love the Sephora Favourites sets, and i've had the Lash Stash, Give Me Some Lip and the Draw The Line sets before, but when I saw this bumper 18 piece set on offer, I wanted it. And I have absolutely no restraint when it comes to my poor wallet. Want, means 'go ahead an buy it girl' in my mind. So today I present to you a fabulous unboxing, swatching, and first impressions of this super awesome bumper set.

This will set you back $59 and according to Sephora, is worth a whopping $192. The samples included are split into four colour families: Berry, Red, Pink and Nudes, and almost everything is roughly half size. The set includes one full size item, a mini lip brush, a mini lip liner and an assortment of lipsticks, stains, glosses and balms.

::BERRIES::

Tarte || Fresh || Buxom || Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint : Moody
This gives sheer tint with a minty smell similar to the OCC Lip Tars. I like that it is a crayon tint as well as it's a good size for popping in even a small hand bag for top ups.
Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment : Berry
This one promises to 'nourish, protect and plump' as well as containing SPF15, which is great for a lipbalm. The full size retails at a whopping $22.50, and this sample is roughly half sized. I look forward to using this during the winter.
Buxom Mini Full Bodied Lipstick : Menace
There was a Buxom lipgloss in the smaller 'Give Me Some Lip' set and it was pretty nice, so I was interested to try the lipstick. I rather like the colour, as its not too dramatic but still a nice wintery berry.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar : Black Dahlia
I already have a full size of this and I love it, so i'll pass this on to one of my friends. It even came with a little lip brush like the full sizes. The colour pay off with Lip Tars is amazing and only the teeny tiniest amount is needed to get full coverage. So even this dinky sample tube will last a fair while.

::REDS::

Laura Mercier || Kat Von D || Sephora || Hourglass
Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour : Red Armour
 This one glided on smoothly and is actually a really nice bright red. I liked the formula, and it did not want to budge when I tried to remove it from my arm.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick : Outlaw
I'm was really looking forward to trying this formula, as I already have a few KVD products that I already like. It's a really nice red with a matte finish. This also had no plans of going anywhere when I tried to get it off my arm.
Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion : 10 Red Essence
I used my points to get one of these with a previous order, so i'm going to give this to a friend too. I love the packaging of this. It reminds me of a little test tube. I expected it to be quite a bright red but it was more of a deep neutral red that seems really wearable.
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick : Icon
I'm really excited to try this as i've never had anything from Hourglass before, despite hearing totally amazing things about the brand. I did try and order this mini on it's own before, but it wasn't shipping to the UK. Although now i'm glad it wasn't because this is seriously tiny and would set you back $10! But the colour pay off was seriously lush.

::PINKS::

Tarte || Too Faced || Benefit || Bite Beauty
Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment : Flush
This is the only full size product in the set and retails at $24. It matches the mini cheek stain I got with my points from my first Sephora order. It's a nice deep pink lip crayon, and I do like lip crayons so i'll probably use this quite a bit.
Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick : Palomino
I ordered the mini duo in the nude shades as I really liked the lip pencils I got in a different set, so an extra colour from Bite Beauty was gladly received. This is a really cute little sample, a great pink and i'm really loving all the Bite Beauty products i'm trying at the moment.
Benefit Cosmetics Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm : Posie
In terms of the amount of product, this is the smallest sample in the set, which is a shame as it's pretty lovely. I'm hoping to grab these in full size anyway, so this little mini to keep in my bag is a welcome bonus.
Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick : Fuchsia
I like liquid lipsticks, so I had high hopes for this. The applicator is seriously the weirdest i've ever seen, and may take a little getting used to, but it's not a bad thing. I rather like it. The sample size is generous too so will last a while. I really liked trying this so I might try and nab a full size in a different colour.

::NUDES::
Stila ||  Laura Mercier || bareMinerals || Too Faced || Make Up For Ever
Stila Stay All Day® Vinyl Lip Gloss : Nude Vinyl
For me this is a muted pink gloss, not a nude. I do like it, though. I hear a lot of good things about Stila, especially the Stay All Day lipsticks, so I have high hopes.
Laura Mercier Lip Glacé : Blush
I'd like to say this has a peachy tone to it. Out of the two Laura Mercier products I prefer the lipstick, but that isn't to say this won't get used.
bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie™ Lipstick : Speak Your Mind
I didn't get on well with the Marvelous Moxie lipglosses, so i'm interested to see how I get along with these. I actually really liked the colour when I swatched it, although it's more on the pink side than a true nude.
Too Faced Cosmetics La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream : Naked Dolly
The quality of the packaging even for this mini is amazing. It's actually a pretty heavy little thing. It looks quite pale in the bullet but I really liked the colour when I swatched it. It has a little shimmer to it which will look really nice on.
Make Up For Ever Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil  : 3C
This is a nice little extra, although it would have been nice to maybe have this in the reds as the Sephora birthday gift this year was a red Make Up For Ever lipstick. I think this may be the perfect liner for the on trend 'Kylie Jenner' lips.

I learnt today that I don't know how to take swatches to save my life.

Overall I think this is a great set. Lots of different brands, a whole bunch of different finishes and formulas to sample. I have seen some gripes about the lack of full size products, as last years had four or so? I didn't have last years set so that didn't really bother me.

Did you get the Give Me Some Lip set? What do you make of it?
